How to Install

TMAI for SAP2000

Follow these steps to add the TMAI plugin to CSI SAP2000 on Windows.

Install the plugin

  1. Download TMAI. Go to the SAP2000 download section, check the supported versions, and download TMAI.dll.

  2. Choose a permanent folder. Save TMAI.dll in a folder you plan to keep. SAP2000 references this location, so avoid moving or deleting the file after adding it.

  3. Open the plugin manager. Start SAP2000 and select Tools > Add/Show Plugins.

  4. Select the DLL. In the External Plugin Data window, click Browse, find TMAI.dll, and open it. SAP2000 fills in the plugin information.

  5. Add TMAI. Set Menu Text to TMAI, then click Add. Check that the plugin appears in the list with a status of OK, then close the window.

  6. Launch the plugin. Select Tools > TMAI. If you chose a different menu text, select that name instead. The TMAI window should open.

If the plugin does not load

  • Missing from the Tools menu: return to Add/Show Plugins and confirm that you clicked Add after selecting the DLL.

  • File moved or deleted: check the Plugin Path and browse to the current location of TMAI.dll.

  • An error appears: check that your SAP2000 version is supported on the download page. If the problem continues, contact us with your SAP2000 version and the exact error message.
